UPDATE 2ND JULY 2021 - OPEN FOR EU CUSTOMERS!

On July 1st 2021 tax rules relating to VAT changed in the EU. Now all online vendors have to charge VAT on listed items, and send the VAT to the EU.

I am able to now send parcels to the EU again, whatever the value of the order, using Parcelforce services. So, for orders placed AFTER 1st July 2021, VAT will be charged at checkout. When sending your order via Parcelforce I will send your item via Delivered Duties Paid, which means that I will pay VAT and duties when I send your item. You should not have to pay any customs charges for that parcel.

For orders taken BEFORE 1st July 2021, your parcel will be sent as previously, Delivered Duties Unpaid. This means that you will be charged for any VAT / customs charges - as happened from 1st January 2021.

It takes approximately 1 hour to make up 100g of fibre, some preparations take slightly longer than others. This is why I have a normal dispatch time of 3-4 weeks, depending upon numbers of orders.

UK shipping will be sent via Royal Mail (either first class or tracked 48) and all international orders will be sent using a tracked method. Once your item is shipped I will send you an email with your tracking information.

If you have any questions, or would like changes to a blend, or a custom order, please contact me at carol@fellviewfibres.co.uk

My challenge was to produce some rolags on the theme of WATER. Now that I found difficult, because what colour is water? My first answer, the colour of the thing that it reflects - the sky or the sunset. My next thought was that water is not just the liquid.... snow, ice, clouds, mist, all of these natural phenomena are water. So, I searched for inspiration photographs with clouds, ice and water in them.

The inspiration photograph shows a floating iceberg next to misty mountains - all three states of matter.

I decided to use just one fibre for these rolags, the uber-soft 18,5 micron merino ( the merino I normall use is 21 micron - and yes you can really feel the diffierence)

The rolags can happily be spun up into beautiful, smooth laceweight singles, as shown in the final photograph.

The supersoft merino will felt, if you do not wish it to, hand wash in cool water.
