Welcome!
Since I have been away I have been looking into the issues which have cropped up thanks to new regualtions in both the EU and the USA.
I am happy to report that I can now dispatch orders to the EU - hurray!
As for the tarriff situation in the USA. The information that I have gained is that individuals can import upto $800 in a single order before tarriffs and other taxes will be levied. However, as the situation has been changing rapidly, it may be advisable to check for any new rules changes with your customs authorities.
If you have any questions, or would like to discuss a custom order, please contact me at

Another colourway put together for the Ancient Manuscripts themed box. Many medieval manuscripts had treasure bindings - especially Biblical tomes had bindings covered in precious metals, precious and semi precious stones, iviry and velvet. This is one of the reasons that many ancient books were stolen - so that their bingings could be removed. I found on the British Library site, the inspiration photograph of a Gospel book, produced in the 10th Century in Metz – possibly gifted to the Cathedral of St Stephen by Bishop Thierry. The central panel is an ivory insert produced in the 9th Century. What I loved most about it was the soft velvet surrounding it, embellished with silver and gold. So, this is what I focussed on for this blend.
The hand pulled rovings are a lucious, luxury blend of superfine (18.5 micron) merino in shades of teal and grey, with added gold using Muga silk and silver mulberry silk.
The superfine merino fibres will felt.
