These were made as the first instalment of the 'Study in Blue' Rolag Club. I loved the photograph of the Earth's atmosphere taken from the edge of space, especially the fluffy clouds stretching into the distance.
To make the appearance of bubbling clouds, I have blended together silk noil and 21 micron merino.
The rest of the rolags are made from soft, smooth 21 micron merino, with little highlights and lowlights made using white mulberry silk and blue tussah silk.
These rolags were featured in the May 2023 edition of 'Tiny Studio - creative life' magazine.
The merino in this blend will felt. If you do not wish it to do so, hand wash in cool water.
